A tank bridge is a special low-loader used for the transportation of particularly large and heavy goods. It consists of two separate undercarriages - one at the front and one at the rear - which are connected by a central, low-lying loading platform. This design makes it possible to transport very high and heavy loads safely across Europe, as the load is “suspended” between the two undercarriages instead of resting completely on the trailer. This means that the total weight is better distributed, and the load can be transported lower and more stable.
