Around 250 trade visitors from all over the world travelled to Crailsheim on 29 September to witness the world premiere of the new JMG crane series at our premises. The largest group came from Italy, followed by German guests and representatives from the USA, Mexico, Canada and the UK. In general, we maintain close business relationships with Poland, the Czech Republic and Turkey.
This major event was organised by our marketing department in close collaboration with Jana Hanselmann, who pulled the strings with great passion and an eye for detail – and, as you’ve come to expect from us, went the extra mile.
A modular system for cranes and collaborative innovation
The highlight of the evening was JMG’s new M-Series: a compact base unit onto which various crane telescopes can be fitted using a quick-change system – much like a cordless screwdriver, where you select the appropriate bit depending on the task. A short telescopic section for maximum load capacity, or a multi-stage telescopic section for maximum reach or lifting height.
Together with JMG, we have developed our own quick-change system for the fork carriage and forks. In addition, we are introducing further in-house innovations into our production range: our Hanselmann Connect tracking system, our bidirectional battery technology with Vehicle-to-Home certification, our app for live rentals, and „Hanselmann Worldwide Solutions“. We also finalised a sales partnership during the event, which, thanks to our strong sales figures, has earned us „World Dealer“ status.
An evening like a play
We structured the evening dramatically into five acts: using the symbol of an oak leaf, we recounted the journey from Italy to Germany – representing the family ties between our two companies. Through a suspended tunnel, we guided our guests into the festively decorated ballroom, with Franziska Zimmermann hosting the event and musical accompaniment provided by the jazz trio Moving Souls and the singer Elli, known from the RTL series „Let’s Dance“.
Our company founder, Friedrich Hanselmann, personally welcomed our guests and reminded them how dreams, visions and family solidarity have made our current success possible – our connection with Italy dates back to 1983. Catering was provided by the Landgasthof Mack, serving Swabian-Franconian and Italian specialities.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the new range of cranes, as well as the speeches by JMG President Maurizio Manzini and our CEO Jan Hanselmann.
„Extraordinary“ and „hardly possible to improve upon“ – that’s how our guests described the event.
Complex technology and logistics
Our partner, the Crailsheim-based production company Media Resource Group, was responsible for the lighting, sound and video technology – a natural choice for us as a Crailsheim-based company right from the start, as the planning and coordination with them were always professional and carried out on an equal footing. All the equipment was delivered on two lorry trailers and set up in our Hall 5, which covers around 1,500 square metres, supported by approximately 500 square metres of scaffolding provided by Bertenbreiter Gerüstbau from Michelbach/Lücke.
Our conclusion
Several visitors took the opportunity to purchase the cranes on display right there and then; we are now preparing them for delivery. The very next day, we had already transformed the venue for our next highlight: our Family and Staff Day – because, at the end of the day, it’s always a family affair for us.
