NDA Special: Discretion, customised work, heavy transport, heavy goods storage and plant construction

In the „NDA Special“ category, we offer insights into international projects that have been anonymised on the basis of confidentiality agreements.

These specialised orders are a central component of our global services. Week after week, our Hanselmann specialists realise complex installations at various locations around the world.

One of our A customers had perfectly planned a fixed shipping date for a large system with a transport weight of 107 tonnes so that the follow-up projects could be started „on time“. All the players and the necessary equipment were ready. At the last minute, however, the transport route for the part to the harbour in Heilbronn was no longer possible.

New planning was required and the transport hardware had to be adapted to reduce the ground load of the transport - in other words, an axle distribution adapted to the roads and bridges.

The customer knows our heavy-duty warehouse and the infrastructure.

We have been asked whether the system can be unloaded and stored at our premises on Friday 26 September 2025 at around 21:00.
Our heavy load specialists then checked whether the transport would even fit into the building via the existing infrastructure:
Vehicle length approx. 28,000 mm, vehicle width with load 4,700 mm, total height 4,850 mm.
Three attachment points were available for unloading.

Everything was checked and we were able to give the green light.

The Hanselmann infrastructure was sufficient to handle this project.

You don't just put such a part to one side - where it has to be moved and loaded, you need sufficiently dimensioned crane systems.
Outdoor storage and loading with mobile cranes were not an option.

The transport arrived at our premises at around 9.00 pm, accompanied by three police patrols and a BFS vehicle. Due to its length, the vehicle first reversed onto our premises, then drove forwards to the entrance to loading bay 3, before reversing into the building again.

The transport vehicle had a total of 16 axles. The load was transported on a Scheuerle low-loader with 12 axles, the Mercedes-Benz tractor unit was a 4-axle model.

At around 21:15, the heavy transport was under our crane systems. Everything was prepared and unloading took place without incident within an hour.
That's pretty good - and an indication that we at Hanselmann are perfectly equipped.

The system will now be stored with us for a few weeks. We also received the order to pack the system seaworthy. This was actually only supposed to be done at the port of shipment. To save time, we now took on this task.

Customer feedback:
